With three Juno Awards, (Canadian Grammy, a Genie Award, (Canadian Oscar) and four Gold and one Platinum and one double Platinum records to her credit, Carole Pope is an icon of transgressive music. Pope’s latest release Music For Lesbians is a four song EP that explores the funny tragic things involved being with another woman.  Pope has performed at World Pride, Fashion Cares 25 with Elton John, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Luminato, Joe’s Pub, The Global Cabaret Festival, The Frostbite Festival, Reykjavik, Toronto, Los Angeles, Montreal, San Diego, San Francisco Prides, and the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival A feature fi film Rough Trade the Movie based on Pope’s autobiography Anti Diva is slated to go into production next year.
